I dreamt a dream-Les Miserables
I watched Les Miserables musical play in Broadway, New York City when I was there visiting my grandma and yiyi years back. I don't really like this play compared to the lively Lion King on stage. Les Miserables was too rich for me to digest, at that time.
What reminded me to talk about Les Mis is because of this you tube which I received :

I learnt something from this SCOTISH SUSAN BOYLE-
-Courage and confidence
-Don't judge the book by its cover
-Everyone has his/her hidden talents and through PERSEVERANCE, success will be on one’s way
I applaud and salute to this 47 years old village mama-SUSAN BOYLE-hope that life WILL NOT
kill her dream as she dreamt.
Ps: I would like to keep this lyrics-I DREAMT OF A DREAM-in my blog
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they turn your hope apart
As they turn your dreams to shame
He slept a summer by my side
He filled my dreams with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came
And still I dream he'd come to me
That we would live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from the hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed

i don't think you can compare lion king and les misérables : modern and classical are too diferent. Nevertheless I absolutelely agree with Susan Boyle's performs !
ReplyDeleteShe's not amazing. She is the Amaze herself !
